So why doesn't Venezia kill off my opponents site when I move it from 1 region to the other with Haste Move?

Come into play effects only trigger at the end of resolving, and since moving doesn't re-launch the site it doesn't trigger. It also works for San gimignano, moving the 8 influence monster doesn't reset all regions back to 0 influence.

Tuism Holy shit! I didn't know that about the San giminiano that's gotta be a strong move if it doesn't get countered

Though thinking about it you would probly rather just drop back to back gimi's

Wow, I see! I also didn't know that about San Gimignano... Thanks for explaining, Tuism! your explanation sounds obvious. Back to the drawing-board.

I've been trying to come up with a way to effectively use Behind Closed Doors (or Hasty Move), and this sounds promising. I'll definitely see if I can work this into a deck.

I'm playing this deck for awhile. Combo looks like Quiet Chapel (any other site with 2+ influence) then EOD San Giminiano -> Next EOD Hasty Move. It's very efficient but not overpowered at all. As any combodeck it's vulnerable to any disruption: counters, discard, site removal. So one needs to have backup plans: Papal Influences (almost OP IMHO!), little sites weenie. Obviously you can use Hasty Move also on opponent's sites as well. For example, move dangerous site to the region already controlled by opponent. Or move Rome Vaticano District on other attack direction.

Papal is really very strong, if you do not run any counters. Thats why royal intervetion allmost allways won against decks with no counters. The more papals appear in the meta, the more you are in need for green or blue

Yeah but it's not insta lose if you don't counter it. It's really different from RI that was a win condition by itself.
BCD is again a great underused card. It's a cantrip first, and so, awesome. And it allows you to cumulate all your influence on one region and move it just after hitting 10. It's strong, as usually, opp don't bother fighting on the first region you're working on.
