iPad testing on 3G did about 50 or 60 games.
1-2 bars or -120 to -100dba. Unplayable. Do not play.
3 bars or around -100 to -95dba Playable. Some pauses if peer is in remote location eg Chinese player. (I had to guess based on name).
4-5 bars or -90 to -80 No different to wifi.

It works on 3G on iPad not on iPhone. Honestly I don't know why the distinction was made, apparently people are more "mobile" (moves faster) on their iPhone, so moving = bad signal = bad game. But I can move just as fast on my iPad. So....
I'm just glad I can play on iPad 3G. Otherwise I wouldn't be playing at all.

Thats a bummer.. I'm always almost in a wifi zone but it would still be convenient to be able to use 3G. Oh well, thanks for the info Tuism
