The one card I haven't seen mentioned is change of plans. I know it can be countered, and even thrown in your face, but mid/late game if your opponent is low on cards, it's an absolute game changer. I have won sooooo many games because of that card. COP on opponent's fat grimbladi . Ouch.

#1 - Political Patronage It's like having a black lotus in your openning hand.
#2 - Preemptive Strike It's just too strong to counter something while drawing something.
#3 - Ancestral Discovery Not only you can take the advantage, but also with your opp cards.
#4 - Divine Intervention You mess with your opp hand, you can see what he's playing, and you get a ressource boost. Divine card.
#5 - Scientific Espionnage It's like a Preemptive Strike but,a little more specific. So strong in end game situations.
#6 - Discreet Calling Considering that you have virtually all kind of problems and solutions in mercenaries and thieves, it's the best way to thiner your deck in crime with Forced Charity.
#7 - Borgia Tower Cheap and strongly game breaking site. You can build decks around this single card.
#8 - Magnetic Personality Still the best trick you can play in a fight.
#9 - Ezio da Firenze Best aggresive ally of the game imo. 5/5 for 5... Come on.
#10 - Sudden Exhaustion Best ally-solution right now. Cheap, ressource boost, surprise. What else?

@raphael - I have a little rule about my COP. Any agent other than Grimaldi, I activate it, and the second his agent resolves, I target. About 4/5 times I manage to target before he hits a region, and he doesn't score. Grimaldi, I wait till he is close to scoring, THEN target him. Oponnent gets +1 in a region, but I get a 3/5 Grimaldi that is much harder to take out (nimble thrust doesn't make him powerless, vicious sneak attack doesn't kill him, etc. etc.)

you are doing it wrong target him as soon as the enemy sends him out attacking. then you get a 3/5 grimaldi even faster. since after you get the agent from COP it is always rested completely.

Actually mana that is always the way I have done it (as he starts attacking), I was just thinking it can make him vulnerable to a number of lower powered anti-agent actions. e.g. I use COP and opponent uses nimble thrust on his own grimaldi before he scores...

Brontobef list is just like mine, but i love San Gimignano - it's very fast and agressive even if you are alredy score. So i replace discret calling by it, although DC is very strong. this topic seems to be the reconnaissance before Auction House. that card i may sell with good money

I almost never play against players in this forum. In the meta it is def. worthwhile to wait a few seconds and see if they beef the grimaldi, but, thinking about the meta again, it's prob better to do it a bit sooner than right at the end of his score, as I almost never get him killed
