same here, uplay popup appears, I enter my details and the app tries to log me in but gets stuck at some point. The login service must be working because I also get an error when I enter incorrect credentials but I can't get any further than the uplay screen. It doesn't show my name nor my avatar.
Had this happen before but it fixed itself after some time...
EDIT: exited the app, closed it, rebooted and now I can get back in.

i had it again ( also the empty field ) and i just cleared the ipad memory and restarted the app and then logged in by pressing the versus button. when i try to login by going into the shop or right at the beginning at the mainmenue it doesnt work. dont know why but i always fix it ike that

Lots of people are currently connected to Uplay properly, so it's hard to know what the problem is.
All I can suggest is to kill the app and restart (not simply quit, you have to see the ubisoft logo again when restarting), but you probably all have done that already.

rebooting the iPad should be enough.
Oh and yes, if you have the UPlay app working in the background, you can try to kill it as well.

Hello, I was just looking for a place where I could put this problem... It seems others have it too, I have done the one thing I know what to do when a device (In this case Iphone) doesn't work properly... turn it off and on... Working fine again  EDIT: Scrap that; just done it again. When i try and move (After signing in) to another area, E.g. Actions, It says 'There is a problem with the Uplay services. Please try again later.' This has been happening on and off since about 00:20 GMT this morning (about 10mins after I downloaded the update)

you can clear the ipad memory by pressing the power button (dont know what its called correctly) for 5 seconds so that the switch off screen pops up. then you release the power button and hold down the hold button for 5 seconds. then the normal desktop pops up again. it has actually the same effect like restarting the ipad. saves some time ^^

Ok, I've been holding off complaining more cause Bronot has had it worse, but now I've been unable to get in for 1/2 a day, every 15-20 mins I try a couple of times. I've closed all open apps, and cleared the memory per mana's advice, no help. It appears to log me in, no error message, but as soon as I try anything that requries connection it takes me back to the login screen

Apart from 10 minutes on the first day, I haven't been able to log in since the market launched. When logging in I get the error message; "Unable to connect to Ubisoft servers." As Bronto said, I have also tried using a wrong password and Uplay recognizes that and tells me it's wrong. I'm able to log in to their stand-alone Uplay app, but not through ACR.

Finally I am able to log in. Restarted the phone and it works (although laggy as hell  ).

Bronto...am getting the same "blank" login details when I try to log in. Has started happening when the new update (auction house) hit.
How do we get Ubi's attention so they can fix it?

It definitely has been happening more often of late, but I've seen that error before - so it's not "new" per se.
Temporary measures aside, we will get dev attention on it - in fact they should already know about it.

Yes, we are definitely investigating that and plan an update mainly for that and the auction house lag. We will also fix some regression (like "Agents can go back in hand"). Basically, what we call a maintenance release.

I am having the same exact problem. It worked fine the first few days, i was able to purchase cards and play online. But since last thursday, i havent been able to access uplay from the ACR game. (Uplay app works fine but not thru main game) this has prevented me from playing online or even purchasing new cards.
I have tried reinstalling app, restarting my unit, attempted logging on from different wifi providers and also tried playing from friends iPads/iPhones. All have had the same result - ERROR: could not connect to Ubisoft Servers.
I have resorted to posting a help ticket on the Ubisoft suprt page but i havent recieved any reply. I hope they respond soon coz the game is really great but the Uplay connection problems are really making Ubisoft lose a lot of interested players
