any good suggestions? i got to like this card while still learning, and seems to have a lot of potential but no idea how to make it work smoothly, so i stop using it, but still seems to be really potent, just need some good ideas, anyone?

Well if you want to use it, use agents like Mario Auditore that have a come into play effect. With Discret Calling(they are mercs no heralds right?) you tutor wichever u need. and then bounce i to your hand, after he used its effect to use it more than once.

Good for coming-into-play agents like Mario, Ezio assassin, Salai, etc. But it's slow to work and expensive to play so the deck needs alternative defences while it sets up. There are some decks in deck section that talks about this kinda deck. Check it out.

ezio's cc is too expensive to make it really work, mario and giovanni is bit situational, though i suppose most if not all decks run agents, but spening 8 in total and over a day to nuke anything below 4cc is a waste, like i said i feel potential but can't think of anything that makes it shine

Try my "Ode to the Bouncer deck. It is still one of my favorite and most fun decks to play with. It has a very high win-rate. It starts up slow, but once you take control it's a solid win!

I use him a lot with the 0/3 Courtisan with cunning. Great to continuously block big agents while building up income.

The use of Malfatto I fear the most is just when he stays here, protecting all your agents of everything that is not a surprise.

The use of Malfatto I fear the most is just when he stays here, protecting all your agents of everything that is not a surprise. Same principle with Dante and Marco - surprise speed agent abilities are always valuable if the agent's NOT attacking

With enough resource, Malfatto is like a re-usable counter, like Marco but forever. Hmmmmmmm

He's fun to pair up with Mysterious Stranger or to bounce a blocker to prevent its death

I'm trying something for Malfatto with Mysterious stranger and Borgia cardinal on a land based deck. It's a bit slow ... but quite effective against agent based decks... I also work on a Vespucci's combination (Amerigo and Christina) with Malfatto... damn slow, but ends up with 9/5 cunning recover agent that lowers the opponents influence when blocking. Still, both projects are still quite uneffective against land based decks...

I tried that one. Slow as hell, and takes too much room in the sequence when you want to play stronger individual cards.

I personally think Malfatto/Mario,Ezio are awesome! And Da'Vinci for that matter

So... what are we saying ?... Making a Malfatto based-on deck doesn't convince anyone. Too expensive and slow.
Still, Malfatto gives the opportunity to protect any agent (including himself) from actions that are not surprises, makes it possible to block any fierce agent with a 0/1 agent with no harm done ?... not so bad !
So, in an agent based deck, that would be one of the x3 cards that you're glad to draw when facing another strong agent based deck.
... did I sum it up right ? ;D
