I had an interesting idea (to me ) just now...what about split color cards? For Example: Revenge of the Righteous Order/Faith Action Cost 15, 0 income Ability - All of your agents are Safe. Swift Act of Crime Scholar/Crime Surprise Cost 4, 0 Income Ability - Search your sequence for a memory and put it in your hand. (just like Quick Study but a surprise and cost 1 more) My thought behind it was so it would limit people from playing the same decks that are popular because if they like the split color card it would force them to play those colors And build decks around the card they like. So if a player really likes counter type spells, but the split color card they love is red/green...they won't be able to play blue for counters etc... I dunno, thought it was a different idea that would be pretty neat.

That is interesting. It's kind of the opposite of golden memories. Any sequence can use gold, but with your dual color memories, only a sequence with those two specific colors can use that card. It's ultra restrictive.
The devs would have to be careful not to make the cards too powerful, though. Restricting a memory's inclusion to a single color combination is a big drawback, but if the memory is OP, the meta could be flooded with a very high percentage of decks with one particular color combination. That is bad because a new set release should be when the meta starts to open up in variety because of the experimentation with all the new cards.
Power creep is also a dangerous potential outcome. If too many cards in a new set are sufficiently more powerful than most (or all) cards from the previous set, the potential to outdo those cards in the next set goes up. This shifts the meta, almost exclusively, to cards of the most recent set because older cards aren't good enough to compete anymore. I don't know how long the devs are planning on making this game (with new set releases) so this point may not be that relevant.
I do find the idea very interesting, though.

i totally agree. as tempting i might find the idea here to have more restrictions i have to say i am against it. i dont see the real use exept for creating super strong cards. every deck would then need such super strong cards to compete. that would smaller the variety of the meta ALOT

Power creep is a scary thing. The original mtg became an endless gravy train cos of it, and I got off of it before it got too much, to what it is now. But dual coloured cards could work if it were more utilitarian than powerful. Making sure they had a cool effect that could be built around rather than overpower things would be important. Balance first, I agree

Oh absolutely. The cards wouldn't have to be OP, my main backing was creating more decks than having "main stream" ones that everybody is playing. I guess my main idea behind it was "ok, I lOVE blue, but because I like this split red/green card I cannot play it, thus preventing my deck from being crazy OP to the extreme.
But definitely they would have to be very careful, like you all have said, to make sure it doesn't throw off balance.
