Ok after getting used to some of the RV cards, and the new meta, it seems to me that counters / discards / surprise agents and sites are very common and powerful.
This is a good deck to fight just that

2 Family heirloom (to grab MI or IR or AW when needed)

2 Ottoman Gunman (+1 with him = +3 across the board with AL)

I usually build easy playing decks, this one is not (everything is relative of course ).
If you face a discard deck, grab Incite Revolt ASAP, after that, you're safe. In general, don't play your 11 cards, and don't use Piri to attack or defend unless absolutely necessary.
1st objective: Get Piri Reis on the board! If you do before day 2, I would say 70% chance of victory. In order to do that, use MI (if you have it in your hand) as well as a booster, and then drop Piri. Don't wait, if you get it early enough, it's gonna do massive damage to your opponent's income booster surprises.
2nd objective: Keep him alive with the help of Suley, PS, Sc Esp.
Ideally by now you have either IR or TMR in your hand, and The Discovery. It becomes a very cheap powerful card with the discard ability of the 11 cost cards, allowing you to draw to better defend Piri (and maybe drop another one for safety).
3rd objective: Drop AL, raise their influence... Put it on a region where your opponent doesn't have any site so you can score more points. Even better put it on a Venezia, and use the OG to score more points.
