Can be exploited, also, indirectly affect other cards. So, now, it's in high.

I just lost a game due to this bug. It really needs to be fixed. I don't even understand how a card is immune to discard? How does that slip into the code?
Papal influence is currently a very improved version of the fictional "memory guard" card Tuism suggested.

Can you tell me if that happens with other memories?

Can you tell me if that happens with other memories? As far as we have experienced it only affects papal influence, but there was talk that it affects other memories that target sites/regions, like hasty move or behind closed doors. This hasn't been confirmed. If this is true it will also affect stuff like false hope. Thanks

Just ran into this again 30 seconds ago. Even worse, ran into it 4 out of 5 games at one point last night (cost me one of them as he had 2 in his hand, I couldn't discard with even the card that discards 2).
It seems like a lot more people have started exploiting this. It's almost time to start playing this card myself, it's incredibly powerful right now.

Interestingly, I haven't played a discard deck myself in like forever, so I haven't really noticed this so badly but honestly, there's nothing wrong with just quitting if you find abusers. Don't waste your own time.

This is a trickier one to figure out if they're abusing. There are rational reasons to keep papal influence in your hand. It does make it a lot harder to win with a discard deck.
I like discard so I've been playing it a lot.

I've just started quitting games as soon as this happens. Happens several times a day.

More simple: quit playing discard until it's fixed.

Get your vomit rush and counter/draw ready. Discard is gonna explode in the meta after the papal fix

Hello, just 2 things: 1) Has there been any developments on fixing the bug? 2) has anyone tested successfully discard vs other cards? (e.g. Actions that target regions) I'm noticing an inordinate amount of papal players. I'm not shouting abuse, it's just Makes for a lot of games against decks that simply look stupid cos they slip in this new shiny "Memory Guard"

1. Nope, I'll try to get it fixed for the expansion, but I can' promise anything. 2. Only Papal Influence is affected by this.

Papal Influence is a really good card and it's cheap. I would expect to find it in most decks that play red. I wouldn't suspect people playing the card to be abusing the bug.

I played someone last night using papal influence to block the discards from Nico. The papal blocked 3 DIs and 2 Nico discards within the first 1.5 days. That was the worst abuse of this bug that I've seen, but it was the first of 3 straight games last night where papal stopped discards.
I know that some people on this forum say to avoid discard until this bug is fixed, but Nico was intentional on my opponent's part.

I've had the same problem with papal influence being impossible to steal or discard in anyway. This was just yesterday. Lost me the game. P.s. First post. Cool forum you have here. I recognize many of you ingame. Love the game. Play it too much.
