i wouldnt play any answered prayers anymore. only really good early onyou could add more strangers and TU instead to thin out your deck a bit more. getting PI and CMTM asap is crucial id say

may be i have another deck or the same, i don't know ? in mine i have puted accents on discard and no deffence: 5x-pp, 5x-strangers, 5x-ritual sacrifice 3x- let the how is without sin 2x-doomsday 5x-AD And so on... Don't remember i think SanGi also puted. didn't use any Answered Prayer.
Very strong copy-discard.

The answered prayers i use it only to discard some surpirse counters like Court Order,Preemptive Strike,Scientific Espionage, and to see which stratege the oppenent use and the openning hand cards he has. It works very good for me. May add more TU and reduce answered prayers to thin the deck.
To Blind Angel: Yes. You are right to have no deffence for discard deck. But as now has the Bug of PI that if it is the most expensive card in oppenent's hand then no card will be discard, so i add some deffence card to meet that situation. It works for noble or thief rush.

Hello, first time posting here. I've been tweaking a similar deck with different emphasises, but run a similar strategy. I'll be posting a primer soon. First, I agree that answered prayer is a must against counter action. However, I've noticed you are very discard oriented, and I feel that that's a more controlling build, which to me, somewhat contradicts Influence's strategy. Your deck does have some notable advantages over mine in that you probably have quite good match ups against counter action decks. Is it safe to assume that your losses come from faster aggro sequences (be it agent or sites) and card draw? I noticed your deck lacks card advantage except for ancestral discovery, and I feel that that is going to be tough on you when the opponent overwhelms you with cards. You mostly trade 1 for 1. AlSo you have to dedicate quite a lot of cards to agent removal. Also from your list, I wonder how often you have to throw your first hand back, since the deck seems to not be that friendly to opening hands. Possibly, you expect this deck not to be explosive? But, again, I feel this is counter intuitive to the primary goal of the sequence. For you, is this more of a control deck and you grind your opponents to victory? When I say grind, I use it in the loosest sense, as 8 from San Gimignano and Influence is hardly a grind... Just a few things to ponder over, this is more for me than you. Your answers will give me great incite in modifying my sequence, thanks! EDIT: Here it is. Feel free to comment. acreedrecollection.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=deck&action=display&thread=1388

yes. Strong agree with you on the disadvantage for draw cards . And i have adjust my deck to make it score more faster and hard to be countered. The deck now is as below:
Income: 5 Dama Rossa 5 Plentiful Crop 5 Political Patronage 1 Pilfer Supplies
Control: 5 Divine Intervention 5 Tactical Upheaval 1 Sudden Exhaustion
draw: 3 Family Heirloom
Site: 5 San Gimignano 5 Lair of Romulus
score: 5 Papal Influence 5 Clothes make the Man
play book: first look at your first hand, if you have 2 +2 booster or 1 pp in your hand with 1 +5 or +8 site then that's may the best first hand, trust me, it's not a very hard one. Don't use the PP at the very begining, use it at mid of day or 3/4 of day , then the line goes to the most right , deploy the site. It is very difficult to be countered. Then, you have a lot of ways to win. Clothes make the Man +Papal Influence at day2 or deploy another big site at day 2. Use Tactical Upheaval or Family Heirloom to draw sites and PIs. the game is most end at day3.

That's not exactly what I meant about card draw, but I think your overall changes is a big improvement over the deck in your opening post. I think the family heirloom and lairs of Romulus will greatly improve your consistency.
Some thoughts on your new deck. I think you should at least 1-2 (maybe more) discard like answered prayer. I think this is important so that they don't crush you with a big sweeper like Reboot or that crime Land that steals sites. Is tactless theatrics really necessary? I can see it being used in Antonio but that's it. You might be able to shave some of those.
Also, I don't see tactical upheaval in your list, which will make play 2 difficult to do.

sorry, my mistake, it should be 5 Tactical Upheaval instead of 5 Tactless Theatrics. i'll edit it. Trust me, if you use that deck, they will not that fast to counter you to use like reboot or Preemptive Strike. Scientific Espionage is a thing but not that much. Secret Catacombs is a big trouble but not that much people will have it in the deck.
