My big sites and discards are all fairly good against counter decks, not to mention the multitude of other PP enabled decks like thieves and nico. But I tend not to run into as many counter decks these days.mor I just don't remember them that we'll

Big sites reminds me, I have a site deck posted called show me the money. It has no control whatsoever, but it often beats counter decks. Reason is you have a hand with 3-4 sites that score 5 or more, and then draw 3 more of those sites in a row. your control oriented opponent is unlikely to draw that many counters in a row (unless he is playing 5 Marco babarigo as well), cause he also has his own threats he is trying to get down. Give that one a try sometime.

I see these kinds of posts a lot about hating counters and making boring games. You never hear about another strategy as being overpowered as much. I think that should say something. Everyone on here has offered good tips and advice and I would expect the upper tier players to have answers for counters but they are the minority. Seems like its the single hardest and most hated strategy to play against for newer players.

It should be the easiest since first sequence starts you with counters somewhat.

There's hate for it because it's flexible and most easily accessible for everyone since its mostly order. There's been hate for PP, discard, but those are more expensive to put together. Otherwise I've got decks that i definitely consider devious outside of those common themes, but I'm not about to over share them. Many of the decks in the decks section are also very very good

Today I had a really good victory against a heavy counter deck. I meet the person before and knew exactly what to expect. His deck was the biggest reason for my starting this topic. I tried fighting fire with fire and got burned the last times. So taking your advice, I chose my heavy site rush deck with discard elements. It worked like a charm. I got of an early divine intervention - took out an sci-espionage. Then an answered prayer. And behold he had 2 court orders and another sci and a pick your poison. I removed the last so I knew he didn't get anything from me that could do damage. Then I deployed my weakest sites for him to counter first. I got of a 5 influence site through. Won that area. Then deployed 2 papal and a 5 site when he was low on income. He could only counter 1 in time. GG!
Felt so good. He was whipped out. Utterly.
So in short. Thanks for the advice. It helped a lot. Now I know it can be beaten.

I just build a counter deck recently after many loss to different counter deck players. It's fun at first but become boring slowly especially your opponent is using counter deck as well. It's more fun with normal deck table filled with agents and sites, I guess counter deck is not my play style though I have to admit it is strong.

I did the same thing, but now only play it once in a while. Try a rush deck or big impact site deck. They do well against most counter decks. If you like, I can share my big impact site deck.
