Here is what I have so far. Faith/Order
Income: Plentiful Crop x5 Forced Inheritance x5
Sites: Basilica Di San Pietro x5 Quiet Chapel x5 Roma, Vaticano District x5 Capella Sistina x5
Site Boosters: Pontifical High Mass x5 Judgment Day x5
Actions: Court Order x5 Papal Influence x5
I really like the basic concept of this deck but it has many flaws. I'm trying to figure out what direction to go with it.
What I am considering is adding 5 each of Wanted Posters and Carnevale and changing it to a Faith/Media deck. This would greatly help it against weaker agent based decks. The problem I see with this is it removes one of my best money cards in Forced Inheritance. I could make some of this up by replacing by Basilica Di San Pietro with Merchant Ships but even then I'm losing something. Can anyone else see a better (and not super expensive) way to fix this deck?

I decided to go another direction with it and have now gone Faith/Scholar with it. It now looks like this:
Plentiful Crop x5 Basilica Di San Pietro x5 Judgment Day x5 Quiet Chapel x5 Palazzo Library x5 Roma, Vaticano District x5 Field Study x5 Papal Influence x 5 Pontifical High Mass x5 Cappella Sistina x 5
I still feel it is missing something however. It seems to do almost too good at generating income and it has no removal at all. Obviously Scientific Espionage or Wrath of the Righteous would improve it but I won't have the funds for those. Anything cheap that will improve this deck?

5 crops is overkill. I use 5 Amerigo and 4 Roma and don't even need removal. How are you trying to win? Saving up for Judgement Day? Build influence through High Mass and Churches? Spamming Papals?

I agree. Step one to building a good deck is to select one or two themes and run with it. Any more than that and they'll interfere with each other and the combined effect will be weaker.
I've never let lack of good counter cards bother my decks. I far prefer to just pack more threats.

Maybe you can go all in and play a site rush. This usually doesn't need control cards and can win quickier.

I'm very happy with what the new additions have done to this deck. I have it set up now as:
Sanctuaries:
Basilica Di San Pietro x 5 Quiet Chapel x 5 Mosque's Yard x 5 Byzantine Church x 5 Hagia Sophia x 5
Actions:
Holy Day x 5 Source of All Life x 5 Field Study x 5 Pontifical High Mass x 5 Doomsday x 5
This hand is working really nice. When the holy day comes out at the start you get income and see the other guys hand so you know if you are playing an agent, site, counter, or what not hand. Then if you are facing an agent hand with lots of smaller agents you get a Byzantine Church on the board asap and drop as many churches as possible. You are scoring as he gets weaker. If he is holding off for stronger agents you drop the Mosque's Yard and he can't score with them. If he has site you site rush him and try to get the High Masses out asap. With all the sites the Field Studies really improve your card count. The sites alone give good income and holy day and source of all life help as well. On top of all that the Doomsday ensures you opponent can't just site back and launch a card to kill all your sites. All and all a great hand.

Have you tried the basilica di Santa Maria novella(gets+1 each time you put a church) and basilica di San puerto that if you replace a basilica di San pietro with another basilica di San pietro it goes to your hand and it gives basilica di Santa Maria novella +2 every turn

Try losing faith (choose a memory in opponents sequence.Erase all memories with this name from his sequence, hand and archive) It can kill any deck by erasing his most important group of memories like 5 cesare or any other important memory. Try it
