Hop,
Suleiman can't apparently counter Silvio Barbarigo. The red arrow stays between the two guys all game long after this.
EDIT: Confirmed by Marc.

Hmm? And the other counters still work right? I'm wondering if the uncounterable Silvio bug is back.

Only faced one so far, and only got Suleiman in hand. Be sure I'll update this thread if it's back from the grave.

(thx Ringel for reminding me this thread) Sounds like it may be WAI. He is ALWAYS safe. If we stick to the rules, he is SAFE while being launched as well and can't be countered by Suleiman or Preemptive Strike (like I did yesterday to confirm this).
Unless a dev comes here to say it's a bug, I'll say it is not.

No no, I remember that the devs explicitly said that "cards effects only come into effect when they resolve", therefore silvio is only safe after he hits the board, unless otherwise stated. The ruling was for a counterable silvio, I remember.

Altair Learned comes back in your hand when countered. I'm 100% sure they changed the rules on this. :]

I think this was changed due to the 11 cost cards that required being discarded to activate their secondary effects.
Could also be the issue with people also going wtf over whether some of them are intended of activating both effects with discards because it only activates one. (The Guardian/Odai Dunqas definately is one that needs both abilities when discarded... at least imo)

You can't counter silvio. I just had a game where I tried 4(!!!) times to counter the same guy. 3 court orders and one Pre-emptive strike. Didn't work. This is new in patch. Worked before for sure. It was a painful game too as everything was countered. I decided just to wait it out to see what would happen. Well. Silvio was deployed after 5 minutes of waiting and couldnt be stopped. I quit when that happened. The picture is not the best evidence. Took it a bit too late. But you can guess it is a counter since it is targeting a deploying agent. Attachments:

Ah, and I was thinking that the reason I couldn't counter him with that new red site was due to the site! I guess it's Silvio. An un-counterable Silvio would have been OP pre-Revelations... these days I don't even know if that's good enough! lol

Well, you can make a disgusting deck with pure counters and silvio. Then you have tactical upheaval if he loses his power. That would be exploiting though...

He can be erased by a lot of cards now, or discarded. Anyway, he's stronger now obv and I may play him a bit more than before (I'm sure it's WAI).

What makes you say it is works as intended? Are you saying that all cards with safe on them can't be countered at all?

Let's just see what the devs say, it's not helpful arguing trying to remember what the devs said when there's clearly been wholesale changes everywhere anyway
