Wow. I have been working through the single player and so haven't really played much vs. but I just got in there and got smacked! Is it me or is running crime basically like having Borgia Tower on every region? With threat. And draw.
I just can't possibly pack enough counters. What are the rest of you guys doing about it? Or did everyone just decide to go black? I thought I saw Bronto say something about crime not being uniquely strong, but I feel like an honest worker in a world of Altairs!
I used to be pretty alright at this game...

Watch my video how I defeated this hand's 23 power agents! Yes, when your agents have "safe" from anything you can kill all the threats. I know it may take a while to get rid of all the threats, but at least they cannot harm your agents. Note in the video, I launched a site right in the beginning that prevents any kind of neutralization to either of hour memories, so meaning, as long as you have that site on, you can put any memory that is not surprise and know for sure nothing will happen. (unless it is an action and they have scientific espionage). I will try to make more videos and even put the ones I lose, so everyone can see how a certain type of cards can be defeated. About that site, it also means you cannot neutralize their memories either, so only put it if you are 100% sure XD

One thing about Thieves tho, if the opponent has the site (forgot name) that makes thieves unblockable and you do not have a counter to it, then you are pretty much kind of screwed lol. Unless you get strong cunnings right at the beginning.

There are so many strategies out now that can ignore high powered agents and just kill them outright. Abbazia combo is just imba, I love my mercenaries for removal, Suleiman counters agents and provides meat, stronghold is sick, Odais + man of the people... The list goes on. Just look around, there's been lots of conversation around this, I'm not gonna repeat it all again

There are some good agent counters out there.
Faith has wrath of the righteous (also kills your own guys if they are not safe) Crime has target practice (kills all enemy agents but cost 11) Media has wanted poster (-4 "life" to all agents) "green" has latitude (all agents get power 0)
These cards are best if you don't agent rush yourself however. I would also include some anti site cards too.
