Holy crappidy crap, that turned into an epic battle! I wasn't expecting you to come back much after one point when you had nothing on the board, but all those discards and erases really pushed me out of my usual rhythm - at a few points I had to stop myself from panicking from not seeing my incite revolt to discard Lessons from this epic game: I can't play Mario or Giovanni if my hq is full (pretty duh but so true) so in that case Maria is better. Maybe I should drop some of my targeted mercenaries for more Maria... Also, be very careful of chaining devoted scholar activations, it can screw yourself if you need to counter something last minute and your damn carousel is up Thanks for the awesome game! Here's a screenshot for a memento

That was awesome. That was definitely the most fun I have had in a loss.
I really wanted get a meta discard deck to work. I have started from scratch with the new cards instead of just updating my old one. After that game I know it is close if not complete.
I have found so far discard strategy hasn't changed too much in this new environment. To play discard you really need wipes in case something gets out to quick. My good discard decks usually end up being a little slow.
I couldn't believe I didn’t see a single Holy Day till way late in the game even after I mulliganed my starting hand.
I love that deck you played. With incorporating two of my favorite cards (Mario and Giovanni Auditore) in with the new.
Note only edited only because of typos and it looked like garbage the first time I posted it.

Actually, while agree that starting from scratch in building decks is the right thing to do, this deck was built on one of my favorite decks that I never actually shared before, it's a bit of my personal pride and joy but it's really not hard to figure it out. This current version of mine is very difficult to do for me cos I wanna keep the original flavor while incorporating the new combos, which are of course quite a few cards and take up so much space. So it ended up being less focused and more utilitarian - an answer for everything. I liked your deck, I always wandered what would happen with new cards in a discard duke out... I suppose I know now

It's reminded me of a Malfatto deck with out Malfatto. I have some similar older decks that I think you have inspired me to go back and tweak. As far as it being more utilitarian I think that kind of is the focus when you play with Mario and Giovanni. On a different note the more I play with The Mentors Return I am not so sure I like it over using In-depth Analysis, even with all the self discards I use.

Well with the insane income I have with the engine, 11 cost is easily not a problem. And it's drawing 4 cards and not 3. So it really depends on which one your deck is built for And yes it's based on the malfatto thing, but of course my recycler isn't malfatto Every time I have a great game with this (these) deck(s) of mine I'm happy that I've gotten people to try something interesting with synergy and card advantage have fun!
