This deck is made in tribute to my mentor for Assassin's Creed Brotherhood Multiplayer, KristianNox, who showed me how to play the game. He was known as the Laughing Jackal for his insanly funny yet diabolical laugh, and always playing as The Doctor aka Malfatto (The Title Card, The Jackal).
I've been using this deck for the past week, and after playing against some forumers with it already, I thought I might as well share this deck.
The deck takes advantage of Surprise-Bounce chains with Malfatto, Bitter Sweet, and Impending Pandemic as the bouncers and Suleiman (and to some extent Cesare Borgia) as the Surprise Attackers along with Byzantine Brute and Ottoman Janissary as fellow support.
The Jackal - 50 Memory Sequence
Agents (20)
Teodor Viscardi x4
Suleiman x5
Byzantine Brute x2
Ottoman Janissary x2
Cesare Borgia x2
Malfatto x5
Actions (30)
By Order of the King x5
Preemptive Strike x5
Knowledge Has a Price x3
Knowledge is Power x5
Bitter Sweet x5
Impending Pandemic x2
Militia Intimidation x5
Overview
With the exception of Teodor, each Order Agent has a Surprise Resolution, an Action, or both. Malfatto will ensure that their abilities can be reused over and over as needed. Malfatto works best with Suleiman as a resuable counterspell to destroy agents and actions as well as be Campaign-able Ready.
With higher incomes near the end game, you can also use Malfatto to give Cesare chain attacks, have him score 5, bounce him, and relaunch him for a very fast second attack (you have no idea how many people have ragequited on me for this move).
Byzantine Brutes and Ottoman Janissaries are field cleaners for anything that Suleiman (or Preemptive Strike) misses or is unable to destroy. At first I did not include Brute but until I was utterly roflstomped by Ezio Mentor I needed something that could get rid of cards like him that would fit the deck.
And with them, I also included Militia Intimidation to turn my non surprises into surprises such as the Brutes and Janissaries. In combo with malfatto, these agents can be launched quickly and destroy their targets with ease.
Bitter Sweet is your Swiss Army knife. Use this to bounce enemy agents back to their hand so Suleiman can blast them away or use it to bounce back your agents if you dont have Malfatto out (or has already been used and you cant wait for him to finish resting).
Impending Pandemic, the decks ultimate bouncing weapon. Only to be used when things start to get a bit too hectic such as massive amounts of sites, too many heavy hitters, but you got yourself some counter cards that missed their chance to kill them the first time. This not only relives your from getting roflstomped but then you can start counterspelling their cards as they desperately try to replay them.
Afterthought
While this deck has been amazingly consistent, I feel like there is probably some things I'm missing that can improve this deck. I know that there are two other bounce cards but they feel a bit too situational to add.
I also thought of adding quick study to make searching through the cards I need easier (BOOTK can't search Brute and Janissary and would be efficient to have a Tutor for Malfatto) but didnt see it as a good idea to replace it for BOOTK nor making room for it.
Regardless any critiques and suggestions are welcomed.
