In fact it is a "I win card".
You play it before the start of the day, you got 5 points and your opp has nothing to say about that if he doesn't have a Piri in play. Oh, and if he was playing agents, it's just more fun. Oh, and if he has small sites, the Stronghold reduces their influence to 0 as well.
I can't play without it because it is too strong. :] The card is flawless, imbalanced, and sadly, underplayed.

I know I think so too the only real way to deal with it is to play your own stronghold or role reversal it, if you're an expert and can predict someone's about to drop one or two strongholds. I LOVE dropping two strongholds. Red/black is insane cos of this right now.

I think the 10 cost fools people, but you get a lot of value for your 10. And unlike the other surprise sites, since it's potential removal instead of counter (like yerbertan cistern) it does not require a target and can be played at any time. Lots of fun. Now if only media's 10 cost site was surprise speed...that would be broken
