I'm sure that Galata district was there and working. Somehow he managed to counter my target practice. All his guys were still in play. Galata did work because he later tried another (non-erase counter) and that didn't work. I noticed something similar before but wasn't sure. This time it was rather obvious. 6 thieves still there is pretty obvious

Isn't this WAI?
Galata will prevent launching memories to be neutralized. Guard Duty erases the launching memory, which is different from being neutralized. Neutralize will put the memory in the archive but Erase will put it in the "X" pile.

Yep, no bug. Neutralise and erase are different things.

Oh my God. Then that makes that site even worse.
Can we please have confirmation on this? An anti counter that only works on some cards...

Dude chillax, there's only one erase counter. Yes, but when people find out that it will always work unless they play against scholar deck, it will be used more. I don't like the idea of a counter that can't be stopped. Apparently I'm the only one that feels that way...

So let them use it more no card is unstoppable. Much more people are still gonna use Suleiman than guard duty. If cards like Altair learned become more popular, guard duty will too, and that would suit me just fine, it's not as imba as many other cards are

My problem is not so much with guard duty it is with how many holes Constantinople has.
1) can be countered while deploying 2) can be removed 3) some counters still work even though it is deployed
2) is fine but with the addition of 3) it's another slap in the face for the "generic anti counter".
I'll stop my rants about this now since I'm pretty alone on this opinion.

Then play Piri Look I don't like the counter culture that's becoming prevalent, but having anti-counter cards that perfectly shut it down isn't the solution, really. In my mind, at least.

Tuism. Piri is just for scholar. I don't always want to play that.

Yeah, it's a shame that not all colours have all the solutions to all the strategies.

This is not a rant, but an interesting observation. I just played a game against someone using const. Galata district AND guard duty together. This way only he could counter cards. Pretty clever! He also did use Suleiman but more for the 2/2 surprise Nobel that becomes safe with the site. An anti counter counter deck. Very interesting
