So if my card has threat, and the opponent card doesn't, mine should send it to the archive without taking damage. Am I right about that? When I bring an Ezio Mentor into the headquarters with Military Brutality, it seems like threat isn't working. In this image, Ezio is ready to walk away from the center region unscathed. In this image, he is quite scathed. That's him in the middle of the headquarters.

Holy Master Assassins and Ezio Mentors... thanks for reminding me why I dread playing you. As for your question, that is weird. It only happened to an Ezio that you didn't launch normally? Seems like there have been a number of bugs that are happening to memories that either aren't acquired via normal means (drawing) or put on the board via normal means (launched by the memory owner). I wonder if that would extend to other types of abilities (Official, Cunning, Safe, etc.)

Haha! I didn't really think about how scary that deck would look when I posted it. It's actually a really cool deck concept I lifted of of felixschroeter. It uses self discard to get a bunch of big, expensive thieves into the archive and then bring them back all at once with Military Brutality. It's really neat when it works but the one I've put together is usually too slow and I bet I only win about a quarter of the time.
But Ezio is the only card it currently features with threat so I guess I need to stick some others in there to confirm that it isn't unique to him. And maybe I could put somebody with Fierce in there to see if that still works or gets ignored.

Well, the only question I have is... Are you sure your ezio was on the attack? Many a times I've been able to preempt an opponent's threat agent attacking and attack with my own agent first by a split second, which resulted in opponent's threat taking damage.
Could do the same to block unblockable/official agents.

You know, I'm not positive, Tuism. I didn't actually know that it mattered, but I just reread the FAQ and I'll bet that's it.
Edit: I just tested it making super sure that I was being blocked and not blocking (do you know how hard it is to goad someone into blocking that dude?) and you are right. If they block me, all is fine.
Sorry. It's my first crime deck.

Hm, even if you accidently blocked with your Ezio, I don't understand this. Malfatto has 2/3 and your Ezio 7/3 so you should survive his attack with 1 health left on your Ezio. Or did he use a tactical upheaval, which is not visible anymore in the second screen?

demkon: It looks like it worked properly. The Ezio that was blocking is back in the HQ with two less health than he had before. As a side note, I think this screenshot shows exactly why we need better matchmaking capabilities. I know first sequence when I see it, and it isn't fair for someone running a first sequence deck to go up against an ezio mentor deck (even though it looks like they put up a pretty good fight).

@jatatt, yeah. It worked right. I'm just a dummy who doesn't RTFM.
This particular deck isn't competitive at all and I regularly get humiliated with it despite the scary number of Mentors and Assassins in there. But when it does go off, it goes off spectacularly and I can definitely see how it could turn off new players. Which is a bad thing.

As I've been mentioned as playing this deck, too, I'd like to stress Kyle's point: This deck is not really competitive and it probably won't scare away any newbies. On the contrary: I think even newbies enjoy a good show and they might be inspired by a deck like this to think about unconventional approaches to deck building. When I started playing I had a traumatic experience when encountering my first Exit Stage Right deck. Instead of being scared away I was quite impressed in a positive way. (also, today I'll only play the Ezio deck on very rare occasions as it needs this huge setup and can be quite time consuming...)

Interesting point. I'm not exactly a new guy but it definitely did inspire to delve into crime for the first time.
