I am sure we have all played matches at one time or another where it is clear you will not be able to win. If there is still a day+ to go before they will win most people just quit. It's not uncommon.
What sucks is the winner has to wait a good 15 seconds for the match to time out. If there were a forfeit button, there would be no need for a timeout, the loser can withdraw, bang match done.
The only reason I could see not doing something like this would be potential abuse but I think that would be very few and far in between.

If you swipe down with two fingers and quit the match, your opponent wont have to wait 15 seconds, unless there are connectivity problems.

If you swipe down with two fingers and quit the match, your opponent wont have to wait 15 seconds, unless there are connectivity problems. What I do is swipe down and select "Options", much quicker I think...
