Hi guys, my first deck posting so feel free to critique the crap out of it. Please note i would make some changes, but i don't have any animus credits (ubisoft is giving them back to me i hope) The whole premise of this deck is that with Cappadocia Underground City, it prolongs the game enough that you can choose when it ends, even if the opponent has a score of 10 in 2 regions you can still easily come back for a win.
Faith Holy Day x5 Judgement Day x 3 (i only own 3 and anymore is over kill anyway. Seeking Sanctuary x3 Funeral Pyre x 2 Yerebatan Cistern x5 Hagia Sophia x3
Scholar Assassin Library x3 Piri Reis x3 Pick Your Poison x1 (just to force a counter if it comes out. probably can get rid of this card tbh) with Great Power x3 Cappadocia, Underground City x4 Lassitude x1 (saving up for another few) In-Depth Analysis x 3 Ancient Library x3
Gold Den Defense x5 Militia Intimidation x2 Pilfer Supplies x1
Strategy: build income and try to get either a piri reis in the HQ, or an assassin library in a region before the first day. defend your site with yerebatan, and if the opponent draws agents, don't worry about them. either wait for the opponent to draw under 2, or using MI, play underground city on the same region as your other site, and use a boost to boost to at least the difference of the points you're missing, do some quick math and if you'll have 10 in 2 zones, play either an action card, or another site on top of the underground city just as the timer crosses into the screen again, if you played an action, use any yerebatan you didn't on your own card and take the win, or if the site resolves, you win anyway. My apologies if something like this was done already, just kinda came up with it on the fly, and it's really fun, and somewhat competitive.
Thanks

Great use of Underground City here... love it actually and will create my own deck based on your concept.
A few changes you might be able to implement easily are the following:
1) Add 1 Borgia Cardinal (in case your opponent has Sofia Sartor and is a good complement to With Great Power - With Great Power is great but sometimes you just need points to Score) 2) Add 3 Forgotten Asylum (this way, you don't need to counter your own Action just to use Yerebatan) 3) Take out 3 Hagia Sophia (might not be needed at all because you're trying to rush your deceptive sites and it will take a while for you to deploy Hagia) 4) Add Into the Light and maybe take out Militia Intimidation
And yeah, you might need to get a few more Lassitudes for Agent-based decks.

Perhaps a few Papal Bull if your having agents problems like Sofia or Piri.

Hey guys, thanks for the responses. Coolkendude: I'm going to put the forgotten asylums in, didn't think of that, hagia is such a good site though it generally wins me games anyway if i don't draw CUC. with a +2 boost after one tick you win anyway and it's a great defence as well. the game is over mostly before i use it but if i get heavily countered it means i have enough firepower to still win. Am also going to try into the light. martoq: good idea, but this deck really has no issue with agent decks, piri or not. It doesn't rely on any one card, and forcing agents to campaign on a third region when you have a 10 power site wiping their score down, with the small deceptive site on the first day, you get 2 -0- 2 the first day then add CUC the next with a +2 boost and you win once you kill the CUC, the rest of the cards are just to help it go fast as it can. once started it's super fast points in under a turn you can win the game from 0 0 0

By the way, I just read from another thread that Borgia Cardinal would only allow a Site to score on the region it is in, even if the Site has Deceptive. So don't bother adding Borgia Cardinal on your deck.

@apathy I built this deck and I have to say I like it. Going to play with it a bit and just wanted to say thanks for post. The one weakness I see is if someone throws a Sofia, you don't have a solution for that (that I could see) that's why I was recommending Papal Bull. It can also be used to dropped someones deceptive, etc. There is another thread on Papal Bull recently and I have to say I am on that bandwagon right now.

Yeah ive been using WGP to score if Sofia is out. With the extra region needed you really have enough time to just focus on getting your sites influence as high as possible, theres almost no need to actually score until just before you delete the CUC. I swapped the ancient libraries for the 1 cost instant site, and swapped out the hagia's for forgotten asylum and ive won 23 games in a row today against about 15 different decks. Even counter decks are easy if you are patient and can get a decent hand. Im hesitant to say it, but i really think with the changes this deck can be highly competitive.

I have been running it for a few days now. I am very impressed with it...more importantly its a lot of fun to play. I like the changes, I was wondering what you were doing with WGP, that makes sense. I didn't know that would counter Sofia like that. Very interesting. Thanks again!

Thanks for the games last night. Was heaps of fun playing a mirror match. I had some pretty bad hands the first few games, something i find as the biggest weakness in this deck. I took ancient library out of my deck, something i may rectify after seeing yours destroy me. Also papal bull is awesome not only defensively but also to kill CUC to end the game.

Yeah definitely enjoyed it. Sorry for the trouble with the gamecenter, that's the first time I did matches like that. I figured your hands were bad in the beginning. Yeah Papal Bull has SO many uses. Agreed on the weak draws, but that seems to happen infrequently enough where it's a non-issue.
Hit me up any time you want to try out new variations.
On a side note, I am still really confused as to how WGP works. How does it score? I have not seen it functioning the same way 2 times in a row so that card really confuses me.

If your opponent has > 0 score on any region, WGP will reduce those scores first because it has Defender when it scores. For example, if your opponent has a score of 4 on one region and your Site has 3 influence on that same region, when you use WGP, it will reduce your opponent score to 1. But say on that same scenario your Site has 6 influence on that same region, when you use WGP, it will reduce your opponent score to 0, and allow you to score 2 on that region. Basically, the ability Defender (which is what WGP is) reduces your opponent score first before it scores normally.

@cook
That explains it perfectly thank you. Basically it is triggering a day score event and gives your sites defender for that one instance.
