Hi all, here it is, straight from the dev lead Marc: Hello,
Here is how the competitive rating system works:
- Each game, you get 5 points for a win / 2 for a stalemate / 0 for a loss
- Each day you get 5 bonus matches with a rating x10 multiplier
* The number in the red cicrcle next to the competitive button tells you how many bonus match you have left (+ means more then 19)
- The rating is reset every 2 months
So basically, it means that you need to perform in your first 5 matches each day (but you can still keep on playing to grind a few more points).
If you missed a day, you can still play those matches the next day. As the current rating started the 1st of august (thanks apple for their reviewing system) every one should have more than a 100 remaining bonus matches to play...
This system was chosen because of Gamecenter limitations (for example, you cannot decrease a score in gamecenter...).
The true solution will be to move away from Gamecenter but this is still in progress.

I think currently the red plus is stuck there cos everyone has a stockpile of 5 "competitive matches per day" since the first of this month, so none of us has exhausted that yet. Once the new season comes around you'll notice that you'll only have 5 per day.

Taking all the connectivity issues into account I won't probably see the red plus becoming a 19 for a few weeks...  |

Hi all! And congratulations for this forum!
I have played over 180 games and i still receive the x10 bonus.
Is this possible? I see in the rankings people with scores that have this bonus finished.
Reading this post seems that this would occur after 175 games, 31 days of august plus 4 days of setember, but i still see the red cross. Is this correct??

Wow are there actually people who's finished their bonus games?  I can't believe that!! I've been rather free lately so have been playing a lot while doing other stuff (dumb decks), and I still have the +... I was thinking it should have ended by this month, but I just realised it's a 2 month season... I don't know anyone else who's finished theirs, is all I can say on this  |

Besides if the 5 games bonus is given every day, it should have stopped at 175 games today. Perhaps if soneone has the bonus finished can answer us...

My bonus games went off maybe two weeks ago, and eventhough I didn't count, I'm pretty sure I haven't played more than a hundred of them.
During these, I managed to get rank 18 or something. So I don't believe you get more bonus games from winning.
Then, for almost two weeks, I didn't get any bonus game. I assumed everybody had a starting pack, and then had to win 10 normal games or something to get new bonus games, which I didn't do for lack of patience with the huge amount of disconect problems, etc. Now, the hall of fame is totally out of reach.
This morning (or was it yesterday ?), the number 5 appeared magicaly... I played the five bonus games, though only four were counted as played, for one game I was about to win just went of for classical network errors.
So my guess about all this is bug oriented

Well, in this regard I'm happy that while the system still needs to sort its crap out, the seasonal leader boards will clear every two months to get a more up to date feel of who's doing what |

I wonder if the bonus games reset every 2 months as well? Otherwise players who have taken a hiatus and comes back will have a ton of bonus game multiplier scores  |

You are not going to receive more bonus until next season.
Your 300 games bonus is finished.
There are a lot of bugs involving NOOs and canceled games that consumes your bonus without playing the game.
Next season we will see if we get the 5 games bonus every day or all the bonus together like this season. Anyway,i t is suposed that they will solve this bugs in the next update....
