Is it possible you're seeing the NOOS error because your opponent hasn't updated to the new version? Or does that not matter at all?

I have two iPads, so I was playing myself. Both were running 2.16...

If you see a NOOS with the latest version, it's a real bug linked to one of the memory played, and it will not be due to people not updating their version. The issue we had in the past with different versions is solved on Apple side.
