Hi, I faced a deck based on that idea a few weeks ago, I think I remember the player's name was Walemi, so I give him or her all the credit. I really liked the concept, so I made my own version that I share here.
INCOME 5 Basilica Di San Pietro 5 Forced Charity 5 Funeral Pyre 4 Holy Day
TUTORS 4 Discreet Calling 4 Source of All Life
SURVIVAL 4 Pious Captain 3 History Glitch 3 Losing Faith
WINNING MEMORIES 5 Basilica Di Santa Maria Novella 5 Merchant's Guild 3 Ezio Auditore, Mentor
All you need to do is to survive until you have one Basilica di San pietro in hand and on the board, and the two other sites either Merchant's Guild and/or Basilica Di Santa Maria Novella, and Ezio. Then, as a surprise, you play San Pietro over and over on itself, and either your Santa Maria Novella gets +1 influence over and over, or you mark +1 on a Merchant's guild over and over... You can easily get 30 influence or more in a day. I don't know if it shouldn't go to Concept Decks, for it is very powerful but not versatile at all, and damn slow. If your opponent discards your Ezios, or worse (but less likelyer) your San Pietros, your busted.
The Walemi version I saw included some Rosa In Fiore, and I didn't see any Merchant's Guild... but then again it could have been there.
Would you suggest more income for example ? Anything to fasten it up ?

Looks really interesting. It would be interesting to know what win most games. Merchant guild or Santa Maria with huge influence? The problem with Santa Maria is it takes up to a full day to score. Ofc you can time it and deploy Ezio and 2 Santa Maria and several of the replacing sites just before next day. That will take a huge income though. Doing it stepwise, Ezio mentor, Santa Maria, replacing sites leaves you vulnerable to a site killer or site disrupters before you can score.
For this reason I like the merchants guild (mg) better. You score immediately also before opponent can stop you. If you go mg focus you can use cards such as family heirloom to tutor all golden cards.
Also, if you only tutor Ezio mentor with discreet calling, more ezios would be better. But not many have 5 Ezio mentors (myself included).

Yeah, just bought my fourth to put in it... And yes, merchant's guild is definitively better, but I see Maria Novella as a security, in case your opponent has too many site crushers. I just wish I could draw more, but Condotierro Tactics and Tactical Upheaval are quite expensive... Then maybe a scholar/crime version with huge draw and small green sites, focused on the Guild, could make the trick... I'll try that

Scholar crime with sites are really good. Some of my best decks are this combo. You can use Gaspar for recycling all sites. Gaspar and Ezio are huge. In crime you also have anti agent and site sites. Good for delaying. I tend to suggest Gaspar in all scholar decks these days

I like most scholar based decks as when 2 people play them, both of you are drawing at least 50% of your deck so you get a good tight match and a good feel of which deck is the stronger. If I ran a tournament of any sort, I would make green a forced choice, just to see what people come up with. There are many options to include 2-3 of a certain card in these decks and still get the cards up.

Perhaps Forum of the Ox or Pilfer Supplies could help with the gold issue for deployment scoring speed? In fact, I think that Pilfer Supplies might be the best. Consider: 15 income/15 gold: Play Ezio Mentor. 1/5 of a day later: Play Pilfer Supplies. Now you have 15 gold to play with. Even if your sites aren't down yet, that's 5 Basicila di San Pietros you can play right after deploying the Merchant's Guilds or Maria Novellas. If the sites are already in place: enjoy cycling 15+ San Pietros! (If you'd rather not give your opponent 1/5 of a day to somehow remove Ezio Mentor, deploy him at 18 gold followed immediately by Pilfer Supplies).

Good ideas ! I'll try it, with some Romani camp, Merchant Ship and Sofia's Office.... and some things to get rid of any Piri that just ruins it all

Assassins guild is great for killing Piri or any agent for that matter. With Gaspar you slowly kill all agent this way. With Gaspar and Ezio down you kill them very fast (unless Piri is in play...).
And yes, forum of the Ox is great here. With one of them and a cheap site like Sofia's office and gaspar/Ezio down, you have very fast unlimited scoring and income generation. Deploy Ox. Get +2 income 5 influence and all income back. Deploy SOfias office in top. Get Ox back. Deploy Ox etc.

I also have Lighthouse in case I need to reduce opponent's score.

True, Ken. But with Ezio mentor on table a cost 1 site will do almost the same. You just need one more move, but since it is all surprises it matters little. I just think we are giving advice that makes it close to the decks we have build
