Ok, I really want decent games when I play. But whenever I play this guy, and when I'm about to win, he does something that makes me auto-lose. Every. Freaking. Time. Does anybody know how this works or how to prevent it?
What happens is that when I'm about to win, the countdown begins as if he's out of the game. But I noticed today a split second before it goes down to 0, the countdown stops a bit and then it says I lose because I got disconnected. I'd appreciate it if anybody knows how to at least prevent this.

Ah the troll of ACR is back with new ways of being a troll.
I know of other players who do this. One in particular always times out when he is about to lose. Have done it against me as long as I remember. But it almost always gives me a win - a assume he gets it too.
I don't think there is a way to stop it.

Kenny, I removed his name in the topic. I'm often guilty in naming abusers or trolls, as it seems fair at the time. But the guidelines...
Sincerely,
The Kettle

Oops, sorry... But you'll also have to change the title of your two other posts.
So, there's really no way to prevent it?

Can you PM me his name? I've seen similar behavior from a couple people, but I'd rather not suspect the wrong person.
Also, I have found that exiting the game and re-entering it myself seems to handle such problems. I play on my iPhone, which has a tendency to switch to 3G randomly - thus disconnecting me - so now the second I see the lost connection timer I exit to check if that's happened.
The nice bonus about that is what I mentioned above - it also seems to resolve connection issues against players who seem to lose connection every few seconds or at suspicious times. That could just be coincidence, though.

I hope I changed those posts to not accusing the person of cheating or the likes. If not, yes, they should be modded. I guess there are two ways of modding. Removing the name or the accusation. You post just had a good point in preventing disconnect cheating. Sincerely, Black Kettle

Lurifaxb, I think there was a slight misunderstanding. Coolkendude was only referring to the original responses in this thread that still had the name in the subject. I took it out.
On the subject though I have no idea how to prevent the disconnects from happening. I doubt there is a way to currently. There is also a very slim chance they may not be doing it on purpose just some weird bug that when they quit it kills the connection for both players.

I had no idea it did that. I assume its via the pc or browser. I almost exclusively view the forum through proboards app, and there it only shows the topic of the thread.

The only reason why I think he's doing something is because I only experience the connection lost/auto-defeat when I play him. Against anybody else, I see the countdown but I do get the win.

I was referring to the individual posts on the same thread through the browser.

Realistically you are probably right, I was trying to be optimistic. It’s most likely some kind of quick Denial of Service attack kicking your connection. I’d imagine if it was something easier we would see it more often like the old stutter lag trick. With the shape of the game at the moment it’s sad that we have (for lack of a better word) douchebags doing this.
