If player A has the above-named site down (the one that reads, "if a player launches a scholar action, he must discard his highest card"), and player B plays Mentor's Return, Mentor's Return discard effect activates - giving player B two cards - then resolves as normal - giving player B four more cards.
Essentially, it turns Mentor's Return into a "draw 6" card.

Crazy. I guess it will work if you play the site yourself and then mentors return?

I would also be interested to know if the "Draw 6" effect will work if you use both cards (i.e. no need to depend on your opponent to play del Fiore to get the effect).

I just made a deck to test that out in story mode, and it worked. Perhaps I should've posted this in "interesting card combos" instead. Oh, and in the game when I first found this out, the draw 6 effect worked whether Mentor's Return was the only card in my hand when I launched it or if I had other cards as well. One odd quirk: if you happen to have two or more Mentor's Returns in your hand, it will discard one of the other Mentor's Returns. Another odd quirk: if you have more than one of the sites down, it will discard your Mentor's Return, then discard another card below that (and another, if you have a third down). You'll still get the draw 6 effect, though. I'm sure that there are other bizarre possibilities that I haven't found yet.

This is really valuable information for players using Mentor's Return (MR). Now, I think the quirks you mentioned above aren't actually quirks but rather things that should actually happen. The first one I think is how it should play out if you have 2 or more MR. Basically, when you launch one MR, the other MR in your hand gets discarded, thus getting you the 2 cards. And when the MR you played resolves, then you get the 4 cards. Same thing with the 2nd quirk - it is how it should play out so it's not a quirk (except for the draw 6 effect you get on the 2nd quirk). But the draw 6 bug is valuable information in the current environment - the question now is: do we knowingly use it? Or should we avoid? I think I'm in the camp of use it responsibly (i.e., do not use it if you only have one MR; if you have two, go for it). Much like Ancestral Recall (do not get other Ancestral Recalls in the archive) or With Great Power (do not use WGP if you have deceptive sites), I think it can be used properly in a game so as not to exploit the bug. Again, thanks for sharing this - much appreciated.

Before this post (thanks for sharing Kacks!) I was going to make a cost 11 self discard deck that uses other cost 11 cards like incite revolt using the site in this thread. So if you have that in hand and then play mentors return, is there a 50% chance it will be incite revolt or 100%?
