The newly updated challenge mode is fantastic - great for a few reasons: 1) Great for animus points 2) Great for single player junkies 3) Great to test decks and seeing what their weaknesses but mostly strengths are 4) Great to test your skills (try playing at x5 speed ALL the time, it will definitely hone your play skills) While I haven't completely finished it all yet (just once or twice, all my levels are still at x4 and x5) I think there's potential to get it really hardcore for single player junkies. What if you made challenge levels that upgraded each time you beat it? So let's say a level where the opponent starts with +1 income. Beat and it goes up to +2 income, +3, +4, etc. Until you absolutely CANNOT beat it anymore cos they drop their hand on turn one and cream you Same can be done with many of the mechanics already there, and makes for a real real challenge even beyond what we have now. Just a thought for the future

Can someone list a summary of all the 'challenges'? As a reference?

You know what I thought at first, when I first saw a x5 on a mission, I thought the rules were going to stack i.e. do mission 1 for 2nd time and it's x5 SPEED, mission 2 is that rule plus x5 Speed etc, maybe to point where you are nerfed, opponents starts with more etc AND at x5 speed... Kinda glad it's not tho!

I can't find the new Challenge Mode. Where is it? You should have a new icon in Italy (southern one) in Story Mode...

I'm in Italy, Firenze (Mission 9), and I don't see any special icons. Do I have to make some more progress to see the Challenge icon? What does the icon look like?

Thank you. I don't see such an icon yet so I guess I have to play some more normal Story Mode missions.

Yes, you have to finish the single campaign before being able to access the challenges

I completed all of them fully. The first few are rougher than the last few (5x speed, opponent starts with 3 gold 6 income, opponent starts with 12 memories in hand).

I found the one with 12 memories actually pretty easy due to the sometimes clueless AI. I also ran a discard/poison combo on him so I negated most of his 12 card lead fairly quickly, and ended up having a pretty strong hand using his agents against him

The Challenge mode was nice for harvesting the animus points. I rushed through the Challenge mode five times in 1 afternoon with my Juno Deck. The computer had no clue what to counter or how to play cards at what times. I rather test my decks against real life persons, because apparently the AI cannot detect strategies and combo's. Juno (for instance) wins me only half my battles in Multiplayer... So I guess, for me only point 1 is valid...

The big issue with the AI is not understanding complex abilities. It will play "Calling all Stand-Ins" to produce a 1-1 agent. It will block with Dante Moro. It will drop nukes at agents that are immune to them. And so on. However, given the complexity of the game, I think it does what it needs to do and is well constructed.
