<edited to remove legionnaire thespians for Cesare Borgia>
Been playing this purple/blue Borgia Art deck and tweaking, I generally kick ass every time - except against green Borgia Tower decks where their card drawing overwhelms me. Damnit.
Little ‘uns (plus income)
Pretty straight forward weenie base. Dante keeps guys alive. Teodori actually can become a 4/4 after forever if necessary. don't forget about that.
5 x Dama Rossa
4 x Teodori Viscardi
3 x Horse Merchant
4 x Dante Moro
4 x By Order Of the King
4 x Cahin (Prefer him to Call To Action)
Big ones
4 x Calling all Stand-Ins (The Fierce token is great for any late game situation)
2 x Cesare Borgia
Control
3 x Magnetic Personality
5 x Court Order
2 x Pre-emptive strike
Pumpers
5 x Borgia Tower
5 x Art Gallery
Playbook
Basically - get out weenies, drop sites to pump.
It looks pretty straight forward, but this deck has one great advantage of being able to deploy really quickly when it needs to. Against control decks I'll hold back a few resources so that when the wipe comes and I can't counter, I can redeploy REALLY fast.
Also knowing when to play Calling All Stand Ins also is a bit of an art.
Always go for the Borgia Tower before the Art Gallery.
Sometimes you need to replace a Borgia Tower with an Art Gallery for a kill.
Hang Dante Morro back as much as you can. Evaluate the situation.
Magnetic Personality is great for a kill - agent or opponent.
I love decks with options - this one may seem single-minded but it is flexible and can survive many different metas in different ways
Somehow I feel like it can do with some tweaking though. Any thoughts?
