I'm not sure if this is even possible. I played the same guy 3 times today and got out of sync once and the last two times just 1 sec before I was winning got booted. It just seems like to much to believe. Did your games end with the defeat screen or the victory?

That sounds suspicious if it's against the same person. I'll pay a bit more attention to who im playing from now on.

Does sound very suspicious to me too. I was 1 sec from winning twice in a row from the same person and got booted. I'm watching really close from now on.

I hope your above sentance does not imply that you will actively stop those users on 3g? would be a shame to kick tuism up the butt after all he has contributed here Funny you said that, because that has nearly happened. Then we saw that it was magically working with some of you (it didn't work with all our 3G connection during the initial development of the game). Even the latency is better than expected. But no worry, we will rather fix the potential issues due to that than remove the support of the 3G networks.

Good to hear... I guess I'm really not technically minded enough to comment but I've done everything on my iPad with 3G, and it hasn't given me troubles - depending on the 3G connection i used. So to me it's all down to ISP, in which case the game should restrict/fix based on poor connections rather than on 3G or not.

I ran into sync error after sync error tonight. Always vs the same players and always within a few seconds of starting the game. I'm sure the other players weren't responsible.
I did run into one player where the sync errors happened later game, and might have been suspicious, but could have been just coincidence.

Ok , I don't want to add fuel to a fire and start a witch hunt. But I just played the person I talked about in the previous post for the first time in a while.
It was a long and good game , a bit like Rambo , I punched and punched , the opponent plays the killer blow, guess what , I counter it, guess what , the game ends.
It's only because it is exactly the same person I had issues with before that I'm posting this , I'll keep it at my discretion but I do grow wary now.
I could just be paranoid tho /twitch

SE had a bug where someone worked out how to capture the packet that ends the game for a victory, and you could send the "victory packet" at any time. The server saw this and without checking ended the game since one of the clients said it was ended.

I know in SE , that if it ended in a Defeat screen then that went , beyond the sync error , I learnt that the sync error could be exploited but . My concerns are the sudden disconnects at the moment , they are just too uncanny, I'll keep playing for a few more days to confirm. It's not that they happen, it's just when.

I don't see why anybody would cause an out-of-sync error... I understand that if they manage to boot you from the game they immediately get a victory, but if they cause an out-of-sync error they do not even get the 10 points for a lost game. I can't imagine someone does this to keep you from getting your 100 points. That would be too malignant...

No your right. I just re read Petes post and I think I understand now. I was just getting mixed up between games etc.
From my experience there's an uncanny ability to just drop the other player from the game at the right time.

The only reason I could see aside from meanness, is if my sync error looks differently from their end-- (victory, for example)

I could swear Tortimer just posted in this thread a short while ago. What happened to that post?

It's that , they are happy to play online , but if it looks like they are going lose , then they don't want to waste time, so they they just drop your connection , and collect the win. Maybe
