I was looking at the so-called "sideboard" cards, and thought there should be a relationship between the colours like the colours of MtG. I found these (dunno if I missed any) Villa Auditore (Crime anti Order) Frari (Faith anti Media) Basilica di Santa Maria Del Fiore (Faith Anto Scholar) Palazzo Senatorio (Order anti Crime) Benefactor's Villa (Scholar anti Faith) Ill-Intended Gift (Scholar anti Media) Media has no sideboard cards, Crime and order only oppose each other The other three have no real relationship It's a very random power relationship, no?

I went to watch the Girl with the Dragon Tattoo today, and yeah, those poor journalists seem to get the worst of it

I'm not sure if it's relevant but media have good anti-site cards and Templar/Assassin removal cards, maybe this is where they are balanced?
Good as in cheap/suprises.

In the very last page of the help menu, the second page of "Sequence" there is a cute little color relationship graphic.

OK so according to that diagram, Crime and order ARE seperate from the other colours. Interesting. Well, media's still screwed For now, I guess.

Well i woudlnt say screwed. the tokens count as neutral, so media cares not rly that much about the 2 horsers.

So, I guess these sideboard cards are a little more useful since the update allowing us to see opponent name before selecting a deck. They still seem like a pretty big gamble though.
Is it ever worth gambling with these cards? I suppose if one opponent keeps using the exact same deck, or the meta shifts so that one color becomes almost universal it might make sense, otherwise it just seems to be pure luck.

I disagree with media being weak, my strongest deck is half media. I only loose games with my media deck when I have statistically impossibly bad draws. I think it's a very underrated color.

I think it's worth it to make variations of decks against some key decks, although I'm largely too lazy to do that but it's a good idea cos ppl do trend into specific awesomes. And I don't think anyone thinks media is weak now. It's ultra high risk play style suits a lot of ppl

media is a good accelerator for other decks. It has cards with extra kick. Also best copy spells

So I guess the best deck to to play is a crime deck, since it counters what about 90% of the people are playing at the moment

Nah it's just sideboard cards that we were talking about here, and those are too situational for regular use

So I guess the best deck to to play is a crime deck, since it counters what about 90% of the people are playing at the moment Yeah, no, I tried that. It is as if fate knows what hand to NOT give me. Against a standard Grimaldi/Tower zerg, I get jack squat, against a Media/Faith deck, I get a hand of 3 Villa Auditore and draw 1 mid game. Now if you ALREADY had a deck that was Crime/Scholar and had a bunch of Quick Studies, put in 2 Villa Auditore and grab them situationally maybe, but, no, it's not going to make for a very effective deck. At the very VERY best it's a poor man's Roma Vaticano, and, to boot, it only covers 1/5 of the possible agents, and, for RV, one more cc, you could do the same thing for all agents.
