Uplay won't connect?

I've noticed that there are ways to make sure your connection with uplay stays good.

Thanks to Diomedia for this: REMOVE YOUR UPLAY APP. For some reason if you don't have your uplay app you will almost never be disconnected from uplay in the ACR app. I'm guessing for some reason it conflicts by trying to use the same connection.

Otherwise, try the below:

1) if your iPad goes to sleep or if you switch applications, the connection will be lost.
2) when you want to play, if any of 1) was true, it's best to make sure you start the app from scratch, by:
3) force closing the app: go back to the home screen, 4-finger swipe up to open the app bar, tap and hold on the ACR app icon until it wobbles, then close it with the x icon, then you can start the app up again.
4) when you first start the app, best to give it 2 seconds to connect - at least till the game center connection message shows up on top, before trying to start a versus game online.

I mention these cos I've never really had trouble connecting, and I basically follow these simple guidelines.

I'm not sure if this is going to be of any help but, I never have any Uplay issues.

I used to have the Uplay app, I restored my Ipad2 , redownloaded ACR , and decided not to bother with the Uplay app.

I now i hardly ever need to log in , it seems I am always logged in automatically when ACR starts.

Edit : This includes after force restarts /reboots / power offs

I removed my uplay app and now I never ever have trouble connection at all. This is a freaking awesome discovery!

Thanks guys! That's something we can now investigate better! Don't know if you guys tried Assassin's Creed Rearmed, as it may have the same impact if you use Uplay there and come back to Recollection. Anyway, we will reproduce that on our side and fix the issue.

I play rearmed, annoyingly I get less logouts once the uplay app is installed so im the minority that needs the app for rearmed, but need to get rid of it for recollections lol

I don't have the uplay app and I still get the issue of having to force restart everytime I play, very annoying.

Yep its definitely a new issue since the update.

I'm pretty sure it has to do with the free credit bug fix. I'm sure they are working on a solution as the top priority.

That solution doesn't work for me. I have to restart my iPad every time I want to play.

I have to restart my ipad, and even that is no gaurantee...

What I do is kill the app after exit. Although I have to relogin every time I run it again though. Very annoying.

Ok I think I misunderstood the directions. Every time I stop playing,I do what Tuism said to do above. I exit to home screen,4 finger swipe,close out app. When I go to play again,it works fine. Thanks dude.
