I used Benvenuto several times yesterday (then stopped playing with the deck that contained it because of the bug) and instead of letting me pick a card from the archive, it let me pick a card from my deck (essentially acting as a quick study). This only began happening yesterday; it had worked properly before then. I haven't had a chance to play with it today, but I'll update this if it changes back.

Was there any circumstances that might have triggered it? Did you have quick study in your deck?

I was playing Media/Faith, and resolving an Ancestral Discovery when suddenly, instead of looking inside the Archive, I was looking at my own Sequence, allowing me to pick two cards of my choice in it (Carnevale + Man of the People lol).
As I was looking into the Sequence when it happened, I'm not sure what triggered the bug. I just did a Papal Influence before the Ancestral Discovery and my opp got no cards in hand or in play but a courtesan.
Looks like it may have a similarity with the bug posted there.

I played a couple benvenuto against you in that last game, Bronto, and it worked fine.

I play AD frequently, and I never had the issue before today.
