Hi to all. Instead of thinking on my own and then publish a decklist to improve, I would start with all of you a decklist from a scratch and then maybe realize a competitive deck, son of all the community... Yes, I'm a fanatic of cooperative working... The base idea is to use the 11-cost card from RV to combine with self-discard. First of all we have to choose which is the best 11-cost card .. then we'll build the deck around the chosen color. The 11-cost card:[GOLD] Incite Revolt[CRIME] Maria Thorpe[FAITH] Sacred Vault[MEDIA] Odai Dunqas[ORDER] Janissary Justice[SCHOLAR] The Mentor's ReturnThe price of self discard card of course is Machiavelli... Ok, since Machiavelli is a must, Media is a must. [Media\Scholar] People has the Power (TBD) Main: 5x Incite Revolt 5x Odai Dunqas 5x The Mentor's Return Win condition: 5x Niccolò Machiavelli 3x Man of The People Utility, draw, income: 5x Political Patronage 5x The Discovery 5x Ancient Map [Scholar\Order] Janissary has the Power (TBD) Main: 5x Incite Revolt 5x Janissary Justice 5x The Mentor's Return Win condition: Utility, draw, income: 5x The Discovery 5x Ancient Map

i like the sacred vault combined with machiavelli. sounds pretty unbeatable. get rid of opponents hand get a 3 inf site out and play machiavelli. its like the PP doomsday combo just way stronger... also doomsday would discard 11 cost cards which might hurt ( thorpe )

The discard effect doesnt trigger when discarded I think, only when u play it.

Of course it does, I've played against the ai and got it discarded many times (after I picked it from his sequence with pick your poison) It should work with Machiavelli, I've been wanting to build this deck for a while now

Scholar has a lot of self discard too : the discovery, the memory which cost 2, draw 2 and discard 1, even the agent who can draw and discard each turn (I don't have the name in english so don't know their name). Plus, The mentor's return is really strong too (everything except Janissary justice is strong IMO). Btw, if you discard Odai Dunqas, you don't get his tokens right, just him ?

It doesn't work (or I really missed something...). I already built, played and retreated this deck today. ^^
Scholar is awesome for 11-cost cards combos. I got like... 4 or 5 decks with them and Scholar ones are really the best.

The 11-cost media is not that good then :/ Actually, wouldn't scholar/faith or scholar/crime be better than media/xxx ? I guess you can also just play the gold one but the faith and crimes ones seems just better.

The gold one is the best. By far. Because it stays in your hand and allows you to feed all your discard effects for ever. And by itself, it just makes you have a deck with an infinite number of cards (including opponent cards btw..).
The Media/Faith one is just not good because you need too much cards for the combo, you have no draw power, and nothing really major to break the game early (unless you start playing PP+Doomsday but you will have other issues).
Media/Scholar and Crime Scolar are really stronger. And they have to play the Gold one in 4/5.

Ok, ty for the insight ^^ In crime scholar, you kill with lanz-like and in media/scholar you kill with arden actor, machiaveli, coppernic, the new imblocable thing, etc i guess. Seem fine, will test that when i go back home.

well as far as I tested, only the effect after discard triggers. So the site just enter play as a 3 influence for free, but doesnt force your enemy to discard. Same for the Media guy, I do not gain the tokens when I trigger him by discarding.
Whats the gold card you talking about?

Incite Revolt. If i remember correctly, when you discard it, it actually stay in your hand and you gain +2 income. You can play it to shuffle everything in your memory or something like this but that's not really the point.
And "Of course it does, I've played against the ai and got it discarded many times (after I picked it from his sequence with pick your poison)" Did i misunderstood something ?

Wow, ok... many raw and great ideas here! I think for the moment the best choise is [Media\Scholar] yeah! Two support color before RV, now togheter... [Media\Scholar] Eleven Power (TBD) Main: 5x Incite Revolt 4x Odai Dunqas (works?) 4x The Mentor's Return Win condition: 5x Niccolò Machiavelli Utility, draw, income: 5x Political Patronage 5x The Discovery ...to be continued!

... Same for the Media guy, I do not gain the tokens when I trigger him by discarding. That's really a shame. I had a nice build with him in mind. But if you don't gain the tokens, it's doesn't work. (yes, I still love Ill-intended gift loops ) I think the text on the card is misleading then, as it is.
