Hm regarding the ports issue, I made a quick google search and found this thread: acreedrecollection.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=iphoneid&action=display&thread=665&page=1I may try to set up a DMZ for my IPad, when I'm at home. Played some games yesterday and I could connect 1 out of 10 times. This is more than just frustrating, it actually kills the game for me if I can't get it fixed. Furthermore even if this is just a port issue (I hope so, because I love the game normally), it should be communicated by the devs in an ingame notification! The game won't live long if the people can't play it in multiplayer and obviously I am not the only one with these problems.

DMZ may be a bit wild to do Do you know if you have full access to port configuring in your router? Sometimes you get a preprogrammed router that has blocked all sorts of gaming ports. Also, do you know if you have a static or dynamic IP Address? I do agree that all this shouldn't be an issue in the first place and is a lot of hassle just to play a game.

Removing all the useless hostility in the title.

I have a dynamic public IP adress. Just gave my IPad a static one (internally) and opened UDP port 9103 manually in the router. So far it seems to help, as I get the "unable to connect" message much lesser. Or they have improved the serverside connection stability in the meantime. At the moment the game is playable. Hope this helps.

I usually run into about fifty or so unable to connect messages a day (using my wireless connection at home on my iPad) on my way to 500 credits. I thought it was just that no one else was playing until I went on vacation this week and used the condo's wireless internet to connect. I may have gotten ten such messages over a seven-day period. It's almost unbearable now that I'm home again.

So it was the quality of the connection or just your service provider. Yeah I had the same a while ago, switched providers. MUCH better now.

I can't connect to Tuism at all. As soon as I send the invite it shows "failed" right away instead of "waiting".

It's probably a port issue, but since we don't know all the ports that have to be opened, we can't do much against it.
Opening port 9103 as mentioned above made it a bit better, but I still get the message fairly often.

The funny thing is that the other day I DID run into Nyxeus on automatch and we did play a little. I didn't realise it was her until we started and then my absolutely dismal hand made me just concede.
So - we CAN play - we just can't invite match. Which is REALLY strange in my mind.

I finally set up a DMZ for my IPad, because that error really frustrated me.
Guess what... It seems that this actually solved the problem completely. I got no single error since I did set up the DMZ and I play against many opponents now, which I never encountered before.
So the problem has something to do with router and/or firewall configuration. Any input would be appreciated.
Right now, anyone who has the same problem should try the DMZ, it helps.

DMZ = Demilitarized Zone
Devices in the DMZ have all ports exposed and are not limited by the firewall in their bi-directional communication with the internet.
In order to set this up for your IPad at home, you have to give it a static IP and then add this IP to the DMZ hosts in your router configuration.

I'm interested in this, how do you give your iPad static IP, what do you need to do it? Is it on your router config software (typically that browse to certain IP thing)? and DMZ too? Just look for DMZ in that same software?
