Just going to say, had 1 month off and i came back and i still don't like some aspects of the game now, games where you sit and play no memories , as you know Sueliman, etc. oh ok , my opp can't play anything as I don't put a memory down for him to neutralise , so i dont play anything, and we wait zzzz . Thats not a 'game' that's just pish. Stupidly strong combo's , I don't even know what they are and I've been playing for a long time, Maria Thorpe etc etc , you know what they are, wth is a noob going to do? It's not like they can even go... , 'wow, nice move, what was that card? I need to get that!" it's just like an animus reboot but without knowing what the hell is going Ok , rant over, as you were !

Yeah I said it was crap too. Apparently everyone else loves it so whatever. Everyone else loves the fact that owning all the cards is almost unachievable for a mortal too.

1) The game balance is off, but I haven't played more than 50% heavy counter encounters yet on any given day. I don't like the Suleiman dominance either. But that's being addressed, I KNOW that cos Marc said balance adjustments have been made and will be updated in a coming update. 2) Everyone has a chance of getting all the cards. There's those guys that got ALL the cards for free by playing the market. If you don't feel like spending all that time playing the market, then you can grind. Or (heaven forbid) pay real money. I don't expect anyone to give me any handouts when they've put real hours and resources to build something I do appreciate. OK, answers over, as you were

It was a little rant, basically I can read the forums more than I can play, and I just got some time tonight to play ( 1-2 months after the meta is sorting itself out) . I know you Pete flagged it up straight away, and and know you Tuism were saying simaler sort of things as I was , I'm pretty sure I made an alarm post too at the time , about imbaness, but yea I hope the devs sort things and I'm sure they will, I'm not mad at ACR, just , when you don't have much time to play, it really pisses you off when you can't enjoy it, and I don't mean enjoy=winning, I just mean , I had a gg

The current counter-heavy situation is one reason I've been enjoying a Forgotten Temple deck so much the last few days: if I lose that one card I know I can't possibly win and am free to quit and move on to the next game. With my regular decks, there's always hope that I can still win - and then when that hope is dashed after the 4th Suleiman or the 3rd Yerebatan Cistern, it feels worse than knowing in one second that the game is over.

I have to agree with the current metagame environment. It is not very fun. Playing a game and losing can actually be fun, but right now the games are mostly determined by who establishes dominance first and then shuts out the other player from doing much of anything.
There seems to be no room for Johnny decks. You are a Spike or you are done.

I'm actually feeling much less of the counter madness now, my primary decks right now are:
Black/red ezio mentor combo with 8 counters Thief super draw rush Media rush with Altair learned finisher Odai rush
I think that's it, and I haven't had much trouble or ran into more than 20% counter heavy decks. Have had many cool tightrope games, in which it really could have one either way - rush against rush, scoring my last 10 with a 10 and 9 on opponents side.
I wonder why I haven't ran into as many counter heavy as its sounding like on the forums.

I'm not too angry on counters right now. I made my piece. But more importantly I play mostly decks that beat them. Meaning less experimenting, less fun decks. This part really sucks....

I take the above back Tested out a new concept deck. Keep meeting counter noobs. Really frustrating. Just means I'll play more strong decks. Bad for the none counter noobs.

It's sad to say that as soon as I see the first court order, I quit. I remember when there used to be a lot of drama about discard being not fun to play against, I even had people auto quit when I played a PP day 1.
Maybe I'm being like they are in a way , but, I feel before , you could beat discard/counters etc and still have a freedom in deck building to beat it. Now, to me, (again I'm probably repeating what people on the forum have already said) you have very limited options.
Not too worried for the future but at the moment, my time to play is limited and I'd rather enjoy it than get frustrated. Ive actually started to prefer to play SE when I have time to game and that's bad because the reason I stopped playing that , was because of the massive lack in variation of deck types when playing quick matches.

I just thought though , maybe it's a good thing to have an easy to construct, relatively cheap, deck type that has a very good success rate in random matchups (albeit to the detriment of the opponents enjoyment), just so people can grind to get more cards. So I changed my rant to, 'want good matchmaking system'

It is not good. The total newbies are the ones that get steamrolled. Their decks are destroyed by the counters. Then they think it is the only way to win and built a version themselves. A good cheap deck with relative high win ratio should be something like agent rush. Those decks are fun to play with and against.
