Tier 1: San Gimignano *It's fast very Brutal, and not many cards have answers that stop it fast enough* Political Patronage *The Tempo advantage is huge* Answered Prayer *Destroying many decks by picking very fast their key card. Its nearly impossible to counter from your starting hand. Only Radical Demotion or with help of 0 cost Income booster* Papal Influence *5 for 5 is very strong* In-Depth Analysis *The only real draw card, if you get it through the card advantage mostly wins you the game, if you arnt to much behind* Court-Order *A Card that stops any non-suprise card for a good price*
Tier 1.1: This cards are very good at what they do, but there is not allways a situation wich alows them to.
Sudden Exhaustion *Fast answer against any fattie. Only certain agents (Mostly Lia), Borgia/Art and Magnetic personality helps with Agent-heavy deck* Scientific Espionage *Every Deck with In-Depth Analysis, papal Influence and Ancestral Discoveries will cry for sure* Roma Vaticano District *Very few pack enough against sites* Tactical Upheavel *Has lost a bit of his shine, with the Dante nerf, but still a very good solid card, that creates easy card advantage*
I didnt include non Strategic cards like income booster, and I also didnt include any agents, since I dont see any agent meta defining, since Lanz/Cesare have been nerfed.
I limited to 10 cards, and Im intrested what others think.

Ancestral Discovery is so much more T1 than Papal Influence (which is good, but far from that good). Card advantage, adaptability, stealing opp cards, that's what I call T1 material.

I was thinking about addin ADD; but it was allways so situational in all my games where I used it. But I agree to replace Papal. You back playing Bronto?

My internet is crappy and so, I'm back on my iPad for a while. This game is still awesome. I was also thinking about Divine Intervention. Maybe it can be in the second part of your thread, even if I find it much more stronger than IDA.

Well AD depends a bit on what you get on the graveyard form the enemy. IDA is simple Math: If you have the deck 5 times in your deck and you need it now, chances pretty high you will get it and some more. AD is of course much stronger, when the 2 cards you want are in the grave. *But maybee against a rush deck, you want that wrath, but in the grave are only some cheap agents ure discards and an art gallery. Hard to handle his board then* Divine is an option or one of the Copy Effects from Purple. There i like Ego the most.

Here is my tier 1 list: Cesare, San Gimignano, Pre-emptive Strike, Court Order, Divine Intervention, Political Patronage, Secret Catacombs, Doomsday, Tactical Upheaval, Clothes Make The Man, and In-Depth Analysis.
Next would be stuff like Carlo, Mario Auditore, Exit Stage Right, Copycat, Papal Influence, Espionage, etc.

I used to have Answered Prayer as a top card, but now it's very situational. I use discard as a way to lock my opponent, so this card is useless mid-game unless my opponent is inept. It's just not possible to grab their card in time. It's great in your early hand, but I can't consider a card I don't want to see mid-game and that I therefore pulled out of a deck that focuses on discard a tier 1 card. I would say that divine intervention is nasty though and is in my top 10 as are preemptive strike and court order. The rest of the top 10 will vary greatly based on play style and the meta. In the current meta and with my play style Animus Reboot is very powerful. I include Venezia in a lot of my decks. PP is almost a given for media decks. I really like Ancestral Discovery. I'm on my phone and can't easily see the entire post so I'll just assume I'm around 10 after adding scientific espionage.

Here's the thing - we all like several counters quite a bit, meaning cards like montereggioni will gain traction since it greatly reduces the ability of counters and makes scientific espionage useless. However, until that happens (and it may never happen) I'll stick with counters as still being very strong

mana my only problem with PYP is that given the real time nature of the game you'd better be very quick at parsing their deck and pulling the right card. People have often pulled idiotic cards (in my opinion) from my deck when they use that card.

yea, it's about time we come together to make a tier list; sounds like a great idea. here are my suggestions.
Tier 1 Cesar Borgia: Even though a far shout from his original image, his uncounterable summon ability is still too relevant and can dominate board presence as a tutor-able 5/5
Ancestral Discovery: This card is a game changer and it's good enough to the point where entire decks can be built around it to abuse its resurrection abilities via Preemptive Strike and Discard spamming
San Gimignano
In-Depth Analysis: Easily a game-finishing card; drawing three new resources in any decently set-up deck in late-game should be enough to finish the board.
Political Patronage: This card just gives WAY too much free income; it's pretty broken.
Divine Intervention: First turn discard of a card the opponent can't even play at the beginning of the game may not seem that great, but it's these higher cost cards the opponent is trying to build up to, and eliminating them from day 0 is a rough bump for any player
Magnetic Personality: Give any creature you want Trample, a stat boost, and RECOVER for a turn? Please and thank you
Animus Reboot: The ability to destroy everything may seem like an equal loss for both players, but this card is extremely powerful for the one fact that YOU are the only one who knows you have this card
Preemptive Strike
Tactical Upheaval: If targeting a Wall creature, you get +1 along with your +1 to income and memory draw. Deck thinning doesn't get much better than that.

The one card I haven't seen mentioned is change of plans. I know it can be countered, and even thrown in your face, but mid/late game if your opponent is low on cards, it's an absolute game changer. I have won sooooo many games because of that card.
