Here are the advantages of faux pas: Opponent loses a card. Opponent loses the gold he paid for the card. You lose a card, You Lose the gold you paid for FP
Here are the advantages of divine intervention: Opponent loses a card, You lose a card, You lose the gold you paid for DI You get +1
so right now by numbers, it's on par, trading your opponent losing gold with your not gaining income
And with +1, it'll be even more powerful. So I think zero costing it is fair, giving it income isn't fair cos it'll be stronger than DI.

but you habe to see which cards are lost for your opponent... DI takes out his most expensive one while faux pas is just taking out his resource boosts most of the time. also faux pas is useless lategame while DI is still awesome!
DI>>>>>>FP IMO

Well atm its not (while I do agree the design dessicion that coutners give no income). You still take the risk to include a card that is useless lategame, and can be useless against certain cards. Divine is really strong, better than faux-pas. There is a good chance, that you hit nothing relevant, but come on the card costs only 1

Hmmm, I put DI in several decks. I have yet to put faux pas in one.

Yes DI is more useful than FP in longer games, but it's a rush king. Too much so if it had +1. IMHO

with so much draw and discard, can it be safe to say that faux pas is relevant again? taking out divine intervention and knowledge is power at an equal cost seems pretty attractive. now, if only it got its +1 income back... I still reckon at +1 income it's overpowered. It's not "fair" - it's -1 to opponent, remove, AND +1 to you. I think if it was 0 cost without +1 it would be great and pretty fair. You gain gold advantage but doesn't gain card advantage. totally agree with this. if it were 0 cost that would make it an excellent card to toss in counter decks. i've been using them over untimely end with great success these days
