Okay so here's what happened. I finished todays bonus and had 500 animus credits.
I went to the store to buy more before the Market is released. I tapped the $20 11500 pack and put in my password.
It said that the transaction had failed. I still had 500 credits.
So I quit out of the app and re-opened the app and went back to the store to try again. It immediately popped up the "transaction failed" message again.
Now, however, I had 12000 credits. So it hadn't failed? I was a little concerned so I just quit out ...
Then I went back later to check and see if it had been resolved. I went back to the shop and, again, it popped up the "transaction failed" message and now I have 23500 credits ...
Uh oh.
I only ever even hit the $20 pack once. Is it going to buy a new $20 pack every time I go to the store? Is it charging me for these? It didn't ask my password when I reopened the app or anything.
What can I do to stop this from happening?
*update*
Restarted my iPad and re-opened the app fresh. It did the "transaction failed" message again. The credit amount is the same, though, at 23,500. Way more than I wanted ... Not sure what to do.

Ouch, that sucks. It's charged to your credit card right?
The devs will try to assist you when they hear about this, but they would also ask you to contact customer service. See the stickied FAQ in the FAQ section, there's a couple of customer care lines.

Paypal actually.
They are weird about posting iTunes purchases. I may not get a bill from them for a week or more so I will have trouble confirming what was and was not spent. Bleh.

I almost always get my purchases invoices emailed to me immediately, but I buy gift cards with PayPal then from that get my iTunes purchases though, so your mileage may vary... Again, good luck man. On the other hand, you'll never know how much cards are gonna go for good to stock up now

No, it's fine, I've got enough money to cover it, and I wouldn't mind having the extra credits ... Just a matter of "wtf?" If there is nothing they can do I can shrug it off. If the Marketplace comes out before this is resolved then I'll probably just end up spending it all anyway and forget the bug ever happened.
The only thing that really concerns me is, still, every time I go to the "buy cards" menu it immediately pops up that "Transaction failed" dialogue. Scary stuff.

Yeah I get it, I'd be pissed off too. Hope there's resolution. Did you manage to contact Ubi customer care?

We will of course support you on that. If you have been charged twice, you can either get a refund, or accept it as it is and probably get a few more credits for the trouble. We will check also on our side what happened and try to know why you keep having the error.

Thanks so much for posting here.
One thing that has changed; Now instead of saying "transaction failed" every time I open the app it pops up a dialogue asking for my password. I hit cancel and then go to, say, the tactics screen, and it asks again, then to the store, asks again, etc. So it's trying to make a purchase? I don't know.
I would hope that it didn't give me credits without me paying for them; That's one of the reasons I'm posting this. Make sure I don't have credits I didn't pay for.
Alternatively, at this point, I'd be happy with just having it stop trying to charge me any further.
That said, would it be best if I make a second thread at the Ubisoft AC:R Uplay official forum about this, or, should I work with this thread?

I want the feature where I get unlimeted credits added to my account and then I I'm playing on my IPad with unlimited stuff and 2 girls walk over and they are like "hey I heard you have lots of credits" and I'm like "yeah that's correct" and I show them all my credits and then all their clothes fall off. they are trying to scrabble around and cover themselves, but it's too late. I have seen everything.

After looking at your transaction, it seems you indeed get the credits twice for only one purchase. Looks like it is your lucky day! Please let us know if everything is ok on your receipt once you'll get it.
We will fix the problem on our side so that it doesn't happen anymore.
I don't know yet why you keep getting the transaction failed message. Can you logout of your uplay account and try again?

Wa, wait, what? No no no. I don't want any credits I didn't have to pay for. That's not fair to others and I just absolutely don't want that. Can you please remove them?
The transaction failed thing has evolved, and, it may be related to that phantom credit purchase.
Here's what happens now: Whenever I go to the store it asks me for my iTunes password as if it is making a purchase. I hit cancel, it goes away, until next time I go to the store or anywhere uPlay is related. I've canceled it maybe 10 times.
I tried logging out of uPlay, tried force closing the app, opening, logging out, force closing, then re-opening, then re-logging in, I've even tried all that with a device reboot mixed in. It's still asking me for my password every time I go to the store.
If it wants me to pay for the 2nd purchase, well, that would be fine, but I am concerned about it making a THIRD purchase, and exacerbating the problem.

okay i have this bug too now! i also tried everything including restart and logout... i already have 80000 credits now according to the game... i wanted to buy the 11500 credits pack ONCE. now always when i go to the auction house or shop i get a transaction failed or canceled msg and 11500 credits. the worst thing is i tried to buy a booster and it worked! i got a message that i dont have enough credits but still i got the booster and was able to open it! also i have to say that i only load my apple account via those itunes cards so there is no way i can be charged by apple now... what should i do now?! i really dont want to cheat some credits here also i should note that i am not able to use the auction house because of this bug (i am not sure but maybe i am able to get cards from the auctionhouse without paying for them and the offer is still active! but i wont try it out anymore until i get an answer here... )

I had same bug, got double credits.. I got rid of the error message by going back to the credit purchase screen and dismising it, and now I can buty in AH

that was the first thing i did... didnt help. btw i forgot to mention i only got charged once. my accountname for uplay is manastyle.
