Well if you aim to get Cesares out more than Lanz, then itsmpretty much a different build, so... Play it and see  go back to basics and as, yourself if the deck works as you play it |

(Just found out about this board, so HI!)
What's the role of teodor in this deck?
Also I noticed Lanz's ability activates when her scores. Does it make this deck substantially weaker?

Welcome! It makes this deck not as broken it doesn't make it useless cos a threat agent that needs to be blocked every turn is still a big threat. Theodore is an income booster at zero cost, great for speed, but still not useless in mid/late game when it becomes a 4/4 threat. |

why is everyone considering the lanz nerf as a nerf? imo hes stronger now ( not on first view though )... okay his rush abilities got nerfed alot because he can be blocked and the biggest disadvantage is that sudden exhaustion cripples him completely now. but on the other hand he is still an agent which draws counters from your enemys hand since noone wants to have a lanz on the field and if he manages to get onto it he is even more devasting -card advantage wise- than before because you just HAVE to block him. so lanz rushes maybe are not as fast as before but more consistent i would say. i dont play him as a keycard but as a support card... but my opponents dont know that and focus him all the time. works great for me! |

Lol it's definitely a nerf but yes he's great for drawing fire while building up to something else. Or winning the game outright anyway  I don't use him cos I need him to kill, I use him cos I don't want my other stuff to get killed |

Can't believe on only just ran into this post. I've had 5 Lanz for ages but never been successful in building a deck based on them. Could be I just dismissed the concept as I didn't have Cesare Borgia until very recently.

This deck is pretty old now and the concept, while not weak at the moment, has moved on a lot since the original because of metagame changes and card balances Lanz is still a strong card in the right decks though! |
